The Guardians of the Galaxy Stage can be accessed from the Stage screen and will only appear if you have cleared all of Stage 1.
Find Guardians of Galaxy members to fight space threats. Clear the missions and advance further!
Missions become easier with certain Tsums as Leaders:
Star-Lord (Annihilation)
Gamora (All-New All-Different)
- Decrease the padlock chain number!
- Break the water prison with 1 Skill!
- Double the water prison drop rate!

The areas in this event are based on the Guardians of the Galaxy lore:
- Area 1 — Xandar
- Area 2 — Ronan's fleet
- Area 3 — ??
- Area 4 — Ronan's ship

Area 1[]
Area 1 is based on Xandar. It is very much a warm-up Area where the player has a chance to test their skills with Guardians of the Galaxy. It contains two uniquely positioned Battles: EV-6, where the player has to defeat a few small 
Groot Tsums and then 
Rocket Raccoon as a full-size boss; and EV-8 with small 
Drax Tsums and Gamora (All-New All-Different) as the boss.

Area 2[]
Area 2 is Ronan's fleet.
In addition to Puzzle missions, this area revisits a type of challenge that is already familiar to the players from the Ant-Man event and Stage 13 — the door lock challenge. In this challenge, the field is divided into two by 1-3 doors which have locks with numbers on them. When the player makes a Chain of the same length as the number on one of the locks, this door is unlocked.
Using Star-Lord (Annihilation) or Gamora (All-New All-Different) as a Leader Tsum decreases the numbers on padlocks. Here in the mission table we'll write the default numbers in normal font and the decreased numbers in small font.

Area 3[]
In this Area the player will have to, among other activities, free the Guardians of the Galaxy Tsums from water prisons. Those appear as Tsums stuck in a drop of water, slowly floating across the playing field. Bombs, Skill AoEs or simply swiping a Chain in close proximity to the drop free the Tsums from the water. All water prison missions count total number of Tsums freed rather than just ones freed in one game, so don't despair if you didn't manage to free enough of them in time. Just restart the mission and continue from where you stopped!

Area 4[]
The Area 4 is basically the continuation of Area 2 of this event. Like before, the player has to open the padlocks by making Chains of given numbers, and as before using Star-Lord (Annihilation) or Gamora (All-New All-Different) as Leader decreases the numbers on those padlocks.
There was a bug for the first day of the event which made all players to get stuck on Area 4 EV-8. It was quickly resolved.

Area 5[]
In this Area the player has to defeat Yondu repeatedly. Each Battle with Yondu he is presented as a number of small Yondu tsums, who can attack independently as well as cast Wind, Burn and other Status effects on Tsums. Each small Yondu Tsum has a chance to drop Fuel when defeated. Apart from beating the Missions, the player needs to collect 30 Fuel to unlock the ship and face off Yondu in final showdown, before leaving the area. As such, chances are one will have to beat Yondu battles several times.

Area 6[]
In this Area the Water Prison mechanic is revisited in a more difficult form. Here the Water Prison drops have to be hit two times with a Chain, Bomb or Skill to be unlocked. Additionally, there are some fake Water prisons that do not have Tsums inside of them. After the drop is hit for the first time, it becomes transparent and the player can see if it indeed contains a Tsum. Same as before, the Water Prison missions count total number of rescued Tsums, so the mission can (and indeed most probably will have to) be replayed multiple times for better results.
If the player uses Star-Lord (Annihilation) or Gamora (All-New All-Different) as the Leader, the Water Prison drop rate increases considerably. Additionally, their Skill AoEs break Water Prisons in one hit rather than two.

After all those 12 missions are beaten, the player receives the Area completion prize and the Extra Area is unlocked. Then they can play EX missions for silver stars (which are a good source for the valuable ). Among other things, they have to yet again beat Yondu repeatedly to get

Bonus Area[]
Bonus, or Extra Area is a Black Hole. It is not technically necessary to complete the event, but it is a good source of and also allows the player to level up the Luck of their Yondu Tsum.
The Water Prison mechanic is revisited yet again in this Area, this time the Water Prisons need two hits to become transparent and three to break. Like before, using Star-Lord (Annihilation) or Gamora (All-New All-Different) as leader Tsum both increases the Water Prison drop rate and allows to break them in one hit with Skill AoEs.
